  • Check that you are signed in to your Google account

When you set up Wear OS for the first time, sign in to your Google Account. You can add or switch accounts later if needed.

Activate location services on your watch

  • Wake up your watch by tapping on the display.
  • Swipe down from the top and go to Settings → Location.
  • Make sure that Location is activated. For Wear 2.0, go to Settings → Connectivity to enable Location.
  • Make sure your watch is available on Find My Device

Visit android.com/find on your phone or computer.

  • Sign in with the Google account you use on your watch.
  • If multiple devices are displayed, select your watch.

Tip: If these steps don’t work, make sure your watch is running the latest version of Wear OS.

Use the Find My Device app
To make it even easier, download the Find My Device app on your Android phone to quickly locate your smartwatch.

Extra tip: Use HERQ QR tags for lost items
For added protection, you can use the HERQ app to post notifications of lost items for free. You can also attach a HERQ QR tag to your watch. Even if your device is offline or dead, anyone who finds it can scan the tag and simply return it to you.

Being prepared will give you the best chance of finding your Wear OS watch if it ever goes missing.
